The Deccan Cliffhanger (11th Edition, 2024)

The Deccan Cliffhanger is renowned as India's signature Ultracycle Race, spanning 643 km (400 miles) from Pune to Goa. This ultra-cycling race includes solo and relay team categories. Participants start from the Deccan Plateau, traverse the Sahyadri mountains, and descend through dense, forested cliffs, ending at the coastline of Goa.

    Early morning flag-off for all Solo racers and Relay teams

    The Cliffhang-over Awards Ceremony and Dinner Party

Route Description:

The race begins in Pune, following NH4 towards Kolhapur, climbing the Katraj tunnel, passing through Khambatki Ghat and Pasarni Ghat to Panchgani. It continues through Satara, Karad, and Kolhapur, entering Karnataka via Tawndi Ghat. After passing Belgaum, the race descends into Goa's forests, with the final stretch leading through Goan countryside to the finish at Bogmalo Beach near Goa Airport.

Registrations for the 2024-25 calendar are open. Participants can register through the event's official website.

Race Qualifications:

  • Solo Crew-Supported and Solo Self-Supported races are official Race Across America (RAAM) Qualifiers

  • The Relay race follows the RAAM Style Relay format

Time Limits:

Each category has specific time cut-offs based on age and gender, ranging from 30 to 41 hours, depending on the category.
